Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli is an incredibly beautiful gem. It is also called the “stone of the sky”. The stone received this nickname for a reason. “Lapis lazuli” from Persian means “blue” and this is true because the mineral has a deep blue color. It resembles a piece of the sky, and if you put it into the sunlight, this gem will dazzle you with its beauty.
Lapis lazuli is an opaque gem that has a greasy luster. The stone can have a purple sheen in addition to its main tone. This gemstone is the most expensive. There can be stones with green or emerald tint. Lapis lazuli can be not a solid color and have white stripes on the surface. This does not spoil it in any way or make it less valuable.
