Garnet

Garnet was discovered a lot of centuries ago. Its name means “like grains”. This is not surprising, because it really looks like the pomegranate seeds. For a long time, people were sure that this stone has only a red tint. However, mineralogists have found that garnet occurs in many tones, therefore, it has several varieties.  Jewelry with garnet was popular in days of Ancient Persia, Ancient Rome, and Ancient Egypt. Nowadays, the popularity of this mineral has not decreased. It is not strange, because this is not only a beautiful stone but also a strong talisman, which magical and healing properties are well-known all over the world.
