Howlite

Howlite is a rare stone. It is a kind of calcium borosilicate by its composition. It was named after the geologist from Canada, Henry How, who discovered the gem.
Natural howlite usually has a light gray tone with dark inclusions. This color of the gem does not always suit jewelers, so it is often dyed. The most popular paint is blue. This kind of howlite has the name “pressed turquoise”, although these stones have nothing in common.
It was discovered that howlite has magical and healing properties and this makes it rather popular.
